Opéra National est une installation générative qui produit en continu des citations politiques aléatoires, créant un discours fictif mais vraisemblable à partir de stéréotypes, d’idées reçues et de lieux communs propres au langage politicien. L’œuvre se compose de trois écrans présentant chacun un fragment de texte — début, milieu et fin de phrase — dont la combinaison forme une proposition complète, dévoilant ainsi les mécaniques de fabrication rhétorique qui traversent les discours de toute allégeance.
La bande-son est constituée d’extraits d’interventions réelles à la Chambre des communes du Canada et à l’Assemblée nationale du Québec, créant un paysage sonore où l’authenticité des voix contraste avec la génération algorithmique du texte.

Opéra National is a generative installation that continuously produces random political quotes, crafting a plausible-yet-fictional discourse from stereotypes, received ideas, and commonplaces characteristic of political language. The work consists of three screens, each displaying a fragment of text—beginning, middle, and end of a sentence—whose combination forms a complete statement, thereby revealing the mechanics of rhetorical construction that underlie discourses of all political allegiances.
The soundtrack is composed of real speech excerpts from Canada’s House of Commons and Quebec’s National Assembly, creating a soundscape where the authenticity of the voices contrasts with the algorithmically generated text
